Come as a country and Race around Reading

So, it seems like a long time ago, but on monday 22nd October we had our first proper night out as a society and it was great to see so many of you there. And to see so many of you make the effort to dress up (well except you Jim jam - the UK- really??? :P) We had loads of countries represented: France, China, USA, Ireland and Wales to name a few. We started off at Park Bar where lots of drinking was obviously involved especially when the geog soc challenged us to a boat race.  And then we travelled (see what I did there) to Q bar where we danced the night away =] all in all, a really great night.

We were hugely lucky this week to have not one, but two events. So on Saturday 27th October, it saw us  running around Reading to collect the free samples, stickers and answers and make it back to Cotton Club for scones and alcohol. Despite the rain, congrats to all who finished -some even made it back before the committee due to ridiculous traffic. Shows that walking is so much better =] And massive congratulations to Ness who won the amazing tour around australia - Enjoy! Thanks to all who bought raffle tickets. We made a huge amount money for our Cambodia fund (I will give you an exact figure soon) and I hope you all enjoyed yourselves.

Lots of love, RUTS xxxx
